Como dijo David, dudo no es adecuado. Hay mas cosas invueltas en el sugjuntivo, pero en los ejemplos que tu diste, le verbo querer y gusta
indica un deseo. Un deseo no es una cosa segura.

Not all of us are teachers. Several are, however. We correct each other because we help each other learn by doing so.

Como dijo David, la duda no es (una explicación) adecuada. Hay más cosas relacionadas con el subjuntivo, pero en los ejemplos que tú diste, los verbos querer y gustar
indican un deseo. Un deseo no es una cosa segura.



¿Deseo que llegue el verano no es una cosa segura?

Quiero que vengas conmigo.
Quiero ir contigo.


No creo que vaya.
Creo que sí iré.
In one of these sentences you have to use the subjunctive, but not in the other one. Is the second one more sure than the other?
