"Toma candela" it's used in Spain, in the sense of "pretty good, eh?" or "how about that, then?".
CREA gives examples of "pura candela" from Colombia, Rep. Dominicana and Venezuela...
Depending on the context it could also mean, "that was intense"... ie. any actual and figurative sense of "fire"...
(Darle candela a alguien means "to beat someone up"...)
