What sentences are used the most/sound better?

¿Has tenido un buen fin de semana?
¿Tuviste un buen fin de semana?

I prefer to use one of them in conversation. But a mate of mine uses the other. Which is the more correct sentence to ask someone if they've had a good week/week-end? I thought the use of the preterite (the second) was the better option.

Same for these two. Which sounds more correct?

¿Qué estás haciendo ahora?
¿Qué vas a hacer hoy?

¿Qué vas a hacer mañana?
¿Qué harás mañana?

I'm fairly certain that this depends entirely on the culture, and all your phrases are correct anyway, but I'll give you my opinion.

For the first two-
I'd use the second one, since the first sounds too formal for the context. Personally, I'd prefer to ask '¿Qué tal tu fin de semana?'.

For the second two phrases- they don't mean the same. '¿Qué estás haciendo ahora?' means 'What are you doing right know?' (as in right now specifically) whereas the other question is more broad, as in 'What are your plans for today?'.

For the third set of phrases, I'd prefer to use the first one, but that is mostly because (at least for my particular accent) pronouncing 'harás' before 'mañana' feels a little awkward (despite being shorter than the alternative).

Hope that helped- and again, this seems to depend more on culture. I'm sure someone from a different country would have different answers.

Have you had a good week? and Did you have a good week? I have always thought that an interrogative using the verb to do is less formal and less British sounding than an interrogative using the verb to have.

# :twocents:In my opinion they are just different ways of saying the same thing. Regionalism doesn't play a role choosing the future tense. Vas a hacer seems less formal than harás

Aqui en España, entre amigos y coloquialmente, se utiliza más ¿Que vas hacer mañana? y ¿Que vas a hacer hoy?
