Does the word ‘bonita’ below accurately describe a ‘nice’ shirt (referring to the ‘design’ of shirt):
• Cuando salgo con mi novia me pongo una camisa bonita.

Are there any other words that could be used instead of ‘bonita’ here to describe the shirt being 'physically' nice? I know that ‘simpático’, ‘amable’, and ‘amigable’ refer to a person’s 'character' only.

Many thanks in advance.

I think bonita fits well in the context,
You may try: camisa entallada (fitted shirt), o camisa apropiada!

(I still a beginner in Spanish, still hope you find that helpful)

¡Good luck!

That's right, Webuser. "Bonita" is clear enough and your proposals work for other meanings as well.

@fglorca: You can say "una buena camisa", which in this case would be talking about quality and the good condition of the shirt. Although "una camisa buena" merely suggests that the shirt is in good condition.

En algunos países de América Latina, "linda" funcionaría igual, pero en muchos casos es una palabra que sólo usan mujeres.

No se me ocurre otra forma de decirlo, salvo cambiando la estructura:
- ...me visto mejor.
- ...me gusta verme bien vestido.
- ...me pongo ropa que se vea bien.
