Could I use to be and in? (not be simply and on)

-We had the honour of having Professor Einstein __ the speaker and share the book with us __ a good evening.

I think 'to be' does not pair with 'having', so I think the rule 'have sb do sth' (not to do) does not apply.

I would use 'be' and 'on'.
