When sb make a call to somebody else and in 3 minutes they tell a lot of things.
The call has been very productive.???

to spread the news is a way of letting someone know. I imagine cundir las nuevas/noticias is the way you would say it Spanish. Is that what you'd like translated? But what you wrote seems to not involve cundir at all. I would say to fill me in on lots of info in a short (phone) call.

Well, Not exactly, the meaning is to say a lot in a little time.

'Productive' works, but it's not a common way to say that a lot was said in a short time.
The phone call was short, but informative.
The call was short, but an earful.
Much (a lot) was communicated during the short call.
