I'm looking for a translation for "bolígrafo solidario".
It has come from the paragraph below:

"En las mismas tiendas que participan en esta campaña puedes comprar el bolígrafo solidario por un precio de sólo cinco euros. Por cada bolígrafo que compres un niño recibirá un juguete. Es muy poco dinero por la sonrisa de un niño."

My attempt:
Pen of support (doesn't sound great)

What is a solidarity pen?

Genuine question - such a thing is unheard of in UK.

From what I see, a solidarity item is something you buy from a company that will donate the profit of selling such object to charity. :)

Here it's a pen you buy from a certain store, and for each pen bought, the company will donate a toy for a child.

In other cases you can buy, for example, a pink pan and the brand will donate money to some ONG that fights breast cancer. Things like that. :)

They may also be called 'promo' or 'campaign' pens.
They can designate a unity/community of people with a common cause.

Oh right - I see, a bit back the craze here was for a tacky rubbery ring to wear round your wrist to indicate your donation to some charity or other. I'd be the first to commend a donation to a worthwhile charity - but I'd draw the line at wearing a rubber ring around my wrist to advertise the fact!
