1.) Los muchachos ven la televisión en _______________.
2.) Los padres hablan con sus amigos en _________________.
Words to use in these blanks:
*la sala
*la sala de estar
Which would best fit in each blank?
Would la sala be in #2? and la sala de esta #1? I'm just making sure.

You're right, la sala is often the dining room (also salón) and la sala de estar is the living room.

huh? As the way I learned it, la sala is the living room and la sala de estar is the family room.

Sala de estar is the place where the tv and the fireplace are.
Salon is the dining room, big table, a painting, a china closet.
Sala is usually a short for sala de estar.
Anyway, house words are used very differently in different places. For instance, first time I hear 'family room' :-)

thank you CrOtALiTo, but it wasn't homework :) it was just practice. as you already know, I have a test coming up. this isn't homework so I won't be handing it in. I did it for more practice.
