Hi,
I don't know any Spanish. I am going to try to learn some things. Tonight, I start working at a Mexican restaurant. Hopefully, it goes well. I will be the only person working there that isn't from Mexico. :worried:

There are only 4 people that work there. I think they are all good friends, and/or related. So far everyone was really nice. I was surprised at how nice they were. They kept asking if I was hungry or needed anything to drink.
There are 3 people that work in the front, dealing with customers, taking orders, etc... and 1 guy that works in the kitchen. The guy that works in the kitchen said I was his new partner at the end of the day, and asked if I was coming back. We got along really well.
They all speak a little English, but sometimes there was a communication barrier. They were able to get the point across though, after a few times.
It's a really small restaurant. The guy that I am working with in the kitchen has been there for years and said that I am the only person that's ever been hired, and because I'm not Mexican it was a little weird, but he seemed to be really happy that I was there.

I almost didn't go back for the second day, but I'm glad I did. I've only worked 2 days and I already got paid. They said I can talk to them in Spanish if I want to practice, but I feel so weird about it. It feels weird when I think about talking in Spanish. It's hard to explain.
