Vacation-Type Outdoor Activities

I’m unsure how to say the following outdoor activities because the dictionaries I have consulted all differ. Perhaps they differ because the various Spanish-speaking countries use different wording. I’m most interested in the wording that is used in Mexican and Central America, but it would also be nice to know the wording used in other countries as well.

Are any of these correct and/or what is the best way to say the following:

On my vacation, I want to go paragliding
En mis vacaciones, quiero ir en parapente
En mis vacaciones, quiero hacer parapente

On my vacation, I want to go skydiving
En mis vacaciones, quiero ir en paracaidismo
En mis vacaciones, quiero hacer paracaidismo

On my vacation, I want to go canoeing
En mis vacaciones, quiero ir en piragüismo
En mis vacaciones, quiero hacer piragüismo

On my vacation, I want to go hiking
En mis vacaciones, quiero ir en senderismo
En mis vacaciones, quiero hacer senderismo

On my vacation, I want to go backpacking
En mis vacaciones, quiero mochilear

On my vacation, I want to go hot-air ballooning
En mis vacaciones, quiero montar a globo de aire caliente

On my vacation, I want to go rock climbing
En mis vacaciones, quiero ir en montañismo/alpinismo
En mis vacaciones, quiero hacer montañismo/alpinismo

"Ir en" is used for taking a means of transport: "Voy en tren", "vamos en avión", "fui en bicicleta", so your sentences with "hacer" are better.
Please note that "quiero ir en parapente" would mean you want to arrive there by flying a paraglide. :thinking:

Also, you can use "ir a + infinitive" for some activities.
-I want to go skydiving: "quiero saltar en paracaídas"
-I want to go canoeing: "quiero ir a remar".
*By the way, "piraguas" are not known everywhere. Probably "canoa" would be better understood in most places. ;)

"En mis vacaciones, quiero montar a globo de aire caliente" -- Oh no, we don't say "montar" when we're inside a vehicle ("a bordo de"). Here, we prefer to use the verb "to fly": "...quiero volar en globo". (If it flies, it has hot air in it.) ;)
