¿Debería ser obligatorio para los inmigrantes de aprender la historia, la cultura, y sobre todo el idioma del país?

Is the above sentence correct? Can we omit de before aprender?

Without "de". Also correct with an "el".

By the way, I got 15/19 in the history section of this citizenship exam (https://woodrow.org/americanhistory/). People pass it with 12/19, and only 36% of American citizens pass it. So "debería ser obligatorio para los estadounidenses el aprender la historia de su propio país".
