I would use caramelo but I know it's not accurate. Is there a common word. I think in Spain gominola is used, but I never heard it before. I think gominola may also mean a sweet innocent young person in a slightly derogatory manner like goody -good in English.

I suppose you mean the American candy made with gelatin, not the medicated lozenges sold in the UK (but called the same name).

I second the use of gomita in Latin America. If you need to be more specific, you can use gomita de dulce.
EDIT:Según Wikipedia, también se pueden llamar pastilla de goma (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pastilla_de_goma) en algunos lugares.
