we learned this last chapter. Hace calor. It is hot. Right now here where I live it is Hace mucho frío! Tengo frío :P

What don't you understand?

Hacer calor = To be hot
Hacer frio = To be cold

Hoy hace calor.
= It is hot today.
= Today it is hot.

En mi isla = On my island

Then my post would be of this way. Today on my island it's cold, but commonly on my island it's hot all the days, but with the climatic change it has changed, now on my island is a bit weird the weather, here always are raining and as I said before it's cold, really it's very strange.

I didn't know that. In parts of Mexico it's also used in femenine, but it's considered substandard usage.
