We made ice cream in Biology (it was yummy, though it didn't have much taste :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:)
Would making ice cream be a physical change or a chemical change?
Here's how to make ice cream (you could make it too, if you want :)):
1. Get a small baggie.
2. Put these things in the small baggie:
*1/4 tsp vanilla
*11 g of sugar
*1/2 c of milk
3. Get a large baggie
4. Put these in the large baggie:
*60 g of salt
*ice <<<not sure how much
5. put the small baggie (make sure it's sealed!!!!) into the large baggie. seal the large baggie
6. Gently knead until the ice cream is stiff.
7. THEN YOU EAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

While I was kneading it (with my partners), I noticed that the milk because more solid and ice melted (of course).

Sounds like a physical change to me. You started out with milk, sugar, and vanilla. You ended up with milk, sugar, and vanilla. If the ice cream were to melt, you'd still have milk, sugar, and vanilla.

I agree with Rusty. I don't think there is a chemical reaction between the ingredients when you make ice cream, so it's only a physical change.

okay, I knew it was physical change. I just wanted to make sure.

It wasn't for cooking class ^_^ We did it in Biology class, because it's good for learning Physical and Chemical changes. It's also for fun :)
Good luck making your ice cream!

Mi hermana tiene una máquina para hacer helado. Es como un termo que pones en el congelador primero y después le echas los ingredientes y le mueves y así, produce helado. :)
