Unattainable..?

I hope no one kills me for making this thread, but I don't know who else to ask :p

So, the word unattainable means impossible to achieve, right? Well, what word would you use to describe a person who's ... I don't know how to explain it in English... hard to get, I guess you could say. What's the word? Unobtainable? No? Unattainable? That doesn't sound right either... I'm confused!

this IS confusing. I tried looking up "unattainable" in the dictionary, but I can't find the right definition.
If you seperate "unattainable" you get "un", "attain" and "able".
So I BELIEVE unattainable means impossible to achieve.
What do you mean by describing a person who's hard to get? :thinking:
in Spanish unattainable could mean "irrealizable (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/irrealizable)" or "inasequible (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/inasequible)". Unattainable is an adj.

Well, what I mean is that if you're talking about a goal that is impossible to achieve, like traveling the whole world in one day, you'd probably use the word unachieveable or unattainable (?) ... but if you're talking about a PERSON who's *insert word here*, you probably couldn't use the same word?
I'm looking for the word that describes a person who's hard to get, someone who won't give the opposite s*x a lot of attention. Does it make any sense? =P

I'd say unattainable or out of one's reach.

Jack really liked Jill, be she as out of his reach.
In Spanish it could be inalcanzable.
