La Virgen de Guadalupe
Today is a very important day in the lives of all people from Mexico. It commemorates the appearance of the Virgen de Guadalupe to San Juan Diego on the Hill of Tepeyac back in 1531.
To see the pilgrimages of people walking to the main Cathedral in Mexico City beginning on December 10th is amazing. Some people walk hundreds of miles, others drive, but when you get to the Cathedral, you can see literally thousands of people, on their knees, making penance or asking to be looked upon favorably by her.
La Virgen de Guadalupe is the mother of all Mexican people and they are very proud of this.
You don't have to be Catholic or Mexican to read this very interesting story of her apparition on wikipedia.

Yes, that is exactly where the angels are located :) You can see the roof of the basilica in the second shot, along with Mexico City (obscured in smog).
