Hello all :)
when I say we invite you (single): te invitamos a mi casa.
Why is it then that when I invite you (plural) it is: los invitamos, and not os invitamos?

It depends on where you live.
In Spain, where the second-person plural subject pronoun 'vosotros' is used, it is expected that you'll also use the second-person plural direct object pronoun 'os.'
Elsewhere, where the third-person plural subject pronoun 'ustedes' is used to address multiple persons (both formally and intimately), you must also use the third-person plural direct object pronoun 'los' (or 'las,' if all are female).
