Encantar with people

Me encantan mis hijos. Estoy orgulloso de ellos.

I haven’t seen ‘encantar’ used with people before, so I just wanted to check if it is correct.
I would have used ‘quiero a’ or ‘amo a’ here.

The sentence is quite correct.

A person infatuated with another may say "me encantas", and this would be much more than "me gustas". ;)
