What is a "picture window," the main window usually in a living area of the home, called in Mexico; a ventanal?

I hope those with knowledge of what this is called in other countries outside of Mexico will also respond. It would be nice to know.

I think this is a mirador con cajón de inglete.

A ventanal is any large window like those found in warehouses and some factories.

A ventana panorámica is a window that practically replaces a wall. It gives you a panoramic view of the exterior.

Anyone I know would call "ventanal" a large window from ceiling to floor or from wall to wall. Actually, we would call "ventanal" any window bigger than an average window, like the one in the picture. http://forums.tomisimo.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
A "mirador" for me, needs a balcony, but this may be a matter of regional usage.

I think "ventana panorámica" works as a formal description of the one in the picture as well, but in daily speech we would call it "ventanal" or "ventana grande". :)
