Hi everyone,

I am rose, a freelancer who is here to learn some basic Spanish. I have always thought learning a new language could be a great experience, and Spanish has been at the top of my list for a while now. That’s why I signed up for this forum!

I work in areas like SEO, web development, and creative design, but I feel learning Spanish could not only help me professionally but also let me connect with more people on a personal level.

I’m just getting started, so if you have any tips, resources, or beginner-friendly advice, I’d love to hear them. Looking forward to learning and chatting with you all!

Hi! Welcome to the forums!
I'm old-fashioned, and I always recommend taking a formal course at the beginning, so you start with a solid knowledge of pronunciation and basic grammar. Then it becomes easier to use any self-teaching resources.
However, if a course is not possible, you can try working with a language learning app.
Finally, when you interact with Spanish speakers, make sentences using your own knowledge as it builds up, and avoid the temptation to use AI to create sentences; we learn from mistakes, not from copying what we don't understand. ;)

If you can communicate in English and Spanish, it's your key to communicate with about half the world on a non-AI level. That's a nice achievement.
