The internationally recognized Bad Bunny sings the popular "Debí tirar más fotos". I know it is common to say sacar fotos as another way of saying tomar fotos. Is it common to say tirar as well, or is this possibly a usage unique to Caribbean Spanish?

Tirar is informal usage, but can be heard in Cuba.

You're right. In Mexico we say "tomar fotos" or "sacar fotos".

"Tirar fotos" is getting popular now because of the song though.
