zorrillo - masculine noun (el) - skunk. Look up zorrillo in the dictionary (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/zorrillo)

Si atropellas un zorrillo con tu auto, apestará.
If you hit a skunk with your car it will smell.

So is that a regionalism? Or are both zorrillo and mapurrito used in the whole Spanish-speaking world?

Must be a regionalism. I know the name to be Zorrillo and Mofeta. When I was a kid, I used to read comic books edited in Mexico and sometimes both name would be used.
