silbato - masculine noun (el) - whistle. Look up silbato in the dictionary (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/silbato)

El sonido del silbato hizo que todos se detuvieran.
The sound of the whistle caused everyone to stop.

So this is the noun "whistle"... as in a physical object "whistle", or can it also be the sound "whistle"?

What is the word for the verb "to whistle"?
