I am learning Spanish, to practice I work as a volunteer paramedic in Tijuana Mexico. I have taken three college classes but still have a lot of questions. It seems like this is a good place to find answers!

Hola TJ!
You are an American working as a volunteer paramedic in Tijuana?
Wow, I take my hat off to you!
I hear Tijuana is not the safest place to be but then I don't think any "frontera" is at this time.
Please take care!

Elaina. You have said the true. The border as Tijuana is not safe in any place inside of the same city.
There are a lot of murders for the terrorist groups.

Actually I am from England. Thank you everyone for your comments. There is a beautiful side to Tijuana that most visitors don't get to see. The food is incredible too, especially the tacos!

I like tacos de birria in the morning and tacos de chorizo at night. I limit myself to 6 at a time just because I don't want to seem like a pig when I am with my compañeros from the cruz roja, but I could probably eat a lot more. Crotalito is right though, I remember the good old days when I could eat anything and not have to worry about gaining weight.

And just as a side note, you won't be able to eat Tacos de Birria in the morning AND tacos de chorizo at night because of their gastronomical consequences. I hear chorizo can be quite bad for your stomach because of all the spices and peppers it has.
But on another note, they are quite good!
