Hola!
I won't torture you with my spanish just yet (it is almost 1AM after all) but I just wanted to say hello to everyone! My name is CiCi and I'm so glad I found this forum! I've been studying Spanish for a few years now on and off and am so excited to have found a community who loves upside down exclamation marks just as much as I do ;)

¡Bienvenida a los foros, CiCi!
There's an 'Accents' pull-down menu just above the input box that gives access to all the special characters you'll need to write perfect Spanish, including the upside-down exclamation point!

¡Bienvenida!
This place seems to really help; particularly if you already have some foundation. And don't fret over your Spanish too much; many of us are still learning.

He certainly has the knowledge, the ability to research/find answers, and ability to teach. The middle one is the thing I find most impressive; and is a great trait to have. No one knows everything; but someone who knows how to find answers might as well know everything.

To "Wax poetic" means to speak poetically. Often, that means using grammar that is incorrect (or outdated), but sounds more pleasing. Think Shakespeare. :)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I'm sorry I haven't gotten back on lately, I was having trouble retrieving my password.
To answer your question, yes I am taking Spanish in school, in university actually, although because I have a full course load this will be the only year that I'll have the opportunity to do this. I'll have to keep it up on my own next year =)
