yesterday i asked a 33yr old spanish lady who was born in nyc (a newyorican w/ 2 cute 18yr old & 17yr old daugters) how to properly say i didn't think you would understand and she said no crei (or no pensaba *i can't remember how she started her translation*) que vas a entender. i definitely know she ended it w/ no vas a entender. i asked her if no pense que entenderias would be better she said no because entenderias isn't a word. i was a little befuddled.

"no lo vas a entender"
"no lo entenderías"
Both are the same idea
"You're not goin to get it" / "You're not getting it"
"i didn't think you would understand"
No pensaba que lo fueses a entender
No pensaba que lo ibas a entender
No pensaba que lo entenderías.
No creía que lo fueses a entender
Choose one, all are the same :D

if i am not mistaken all are not the same
there is a difference
no ibas a entender means you are not going to understand and that would be used more in a situation where you haven't told the person anything but you have information for that person and you're withholding it
i asked her how to say i didn't think you would understand and she said _______ vas a entender. i believe she was slightly wrong
_______ no entenderias would be used in a situation where you told the person something and they got mad and this is definitely the reply you would give them
you would not say ______ no ibas a entender.

I feel that your information written here does not complete. because there are a lot definitions in that question that you made before. If you can write more about the that you need to know it will be better because so everyone can understand more your question.

Here's my :twocents::
No pensaba que lo fueses a entender – I didn’t think you would understand
No creía que lo fueses a entender – I didn’t think/believe you would understand
No pensaba que lo entenderías. – I didn’t think you would understand
No pensaba que lo ibas a entender – I didn’t think you were going to understand
In other words, I think all of them could be used when you've said something and are surprised to find that they've understood what you've said or when you're justifying having witheld information.
