For American History class, we have to create a movie poster, front page of a newspaper, magazine cover, or concert/performance flyer, etc about the 1920's. I chose to create a front page of a newspaper. I need to include a minimum of seven historical facts and at least one picture.

My topic is about the Red Scare.

This project is due tomorrow so please check it today! I want to get a 20/20 on this project! I have American history first period!

here are my facts....please check if they are OK. Thanks!

THE RED SCARE

Russian Revolution caused worry in America
Bolshevik, anarchist, communist, & red - described people who were perceived as a threat
series of bombing, bomb scares contributed to radical political activity by foreign agitators
Recent immigrants from Europe: most active Communists & anarchists
Xenophobia, fear and hatred of foreigners spreads
Part of a plot by radical elements to overthrow government were bombings & attempted bombings
Communists Parties had fewer than 40,000 members, many Americans however suspected that Reds were everywhere

This is my picture. is that an OK picture?

Yes, your poster illustrates xenophobia well, and it looks like it's from that decade. I didn't know there was much of a red scare in the 20's, but I guess it had something to do with the establishment of labor unions and the bloodiness of the Russian revolution.
