Really simple one this, a bit beneath you all!

question is, how to say miss, in the sense of missing someone when they are leaving, faltar or perder?

por ejemplo:-
voy a faltarte
te faltaré
o
voy a perderte
te perderé
¿o otra cosa?

gracias por ayudarme,
un saludo,
craig.

In Spain I miss you no se traduce como te faltaré sino como
(yo)te voy a echar de menos
(yo) te voy a echar en falta
te extrañaré
te añoraré
tengo miedo a perderte (I fear lose you)
y muchas más ....

Te perderé is saying "I'm losing you"
voy a perderte "I'm going to lose you"
Te faltaré is saying "I will fail you"

Hope it hepls

And in Mexico, "to miss someone" would almost always be "extrañar a alguien"

how would you say "we missed you" in the sense of someone not being able to make it to an appointment

how would you say "we missed you" in the sense of someone not being able to make it to an appointment

If "we" are saying this to the person who missed the meeting/appt, I'd say:

Te extrañamos en la reunión
Nos hiciste falta en la reunión

If "we" are telling them that we missed the appointment, it could be:

No pudimos ir/llegar

Does that help?

Yes it helps, thanx. For some reason though, I thought there was a different way of saying it. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'm sure there *are* other ways of saying it :) Maybe the native speakers can pitch in?

I don't know you guys. It doesn't sound right. Ok here's how it's written in English: We missed you. So this is a photograher writting to someone that he/she didn't make an appointment therefore trying to tell that someone that they failed to make it and they need to reschedule. Thanx for the help.

Hmmm, I don't know. For what you're describing tavin, I'd say something like "(Sorry,) I/we missed the appointment (we need to reschedule)". And for that I'd use the Spanish:

No pude/pudimos llegar a la cita, necesitamos volver a concertar/programar/planear una.

No apareciste como acordamos (you didn't show as appointed)
Te echamos en falta (we missed you)
the others I know are already said by Tomisimo
No llegaste, hay que volver a acordar una cita
