hecho (masculine noun (el)) — fact, deed. Look up hecho in the dictionary (http://www.tomisimo.org/dictionary/spanish_english/hecho)

Los hechos dicen que él es el culpable.
The facts say that he is the guilty one.

de hecho = in fact.
can de hecho ever be used to mean yes, or must it be proceeded with sí.

Crotalito, en este caso, "one" no se traduce. Es como si te dijera: you're the only one, se traduciría por: tú eres el único. Otro ejemplo es:

- Which picture do you like?
- I like this one (se traduciría por "me gusta ésta")

Quería añadir que "hecho" también es el participio del verbo "haber":

¿Quién ha hecho este desastre?
Lo hemos hecho nosotros solos.
