They might have included the infinitive as the fifth mood; I've seen grammar books do that, although it is not a mood. A mood is a finite (conjugated) form, and the infinite, participles, and gerunds are considered infinite (non-conjugated) forms of the verb.

The infinitive was taught to me as the first mood.

Years ago, infinitive and potential were included, but nowadays they aren't. Then infinitive was divided into infinitive, gerund and participle. Three moods are the correct thing.

¿Quieres decir que nos adelgazamos? :D

Si digo "está en boga" (del francés vogue") significa que está de moda. Yo quiero decir que "es lo correcto"

potencial (Spanish) = conditional (English)

As far as I know, the conditional is still considered a mood, but who knows?

Correcto. :D

Yo también quiero decir que era lo correcto.

Puede que cambie nuevamente de acuerdo a las eminencias lingüísticas. Y eso me huele a moda. Hay gente muy enferma que ni siquiera sabe que están enfermas, y aún así son muy inteligentes.

Mejor paro... :)
