New Star Trek movie

Anyone seen the new Star Trek movie?
I was really pleased with the entire film, except for some very minor irks. Character development and casting were excellent, action was exciting, and you left feeling you had loads of fun! Very few movies leave me saying that.

And Zachary Quinto as young Spock was great! Quinto immersed himself in the role so well that, if you're familiar with Quinto from his role as Sylar on Heroes, you'll forget he's Quinto or Sylar and think he's just Spock! :)

Chris Pine is equally good as James Kirk and makes the role his own. He's definitely not William Shatner, which is what makes his Kirk even better.

And Karl Urban as Doctor McCoy was fabulous! He actually sounded a lot like the late DeForest Kelly as Bones. He was excellent! Hard to believe he's from New Zealand. No trace of his native accent at all :-)

Producer J.J. Abrams and company gave us an exhillarating thrill-ride with this
reimagining of Star Trek, and I can't wait to see the sequel :-)

Fringe es una de mis series más favoritas. Deseo que Anna Torv me enamore :D jeje
I love the entire cast.... and Leonard Nimoy was on the show last night! Ahora tenemos esperar el otoño para ver la continuación del cuento. :(

No he visto la nueva película PERO he visto todas las anteriores, he visto Star Trek comenzando con William Shatner, y terminando con Capt. Janeway. pero mi favorito es Capt. Picard. Todavía pasan "reruns" a veces a media noche y me gusta.

Este fin de semana iré a ver la nueva película.

I saw it last night in IMAX! It was FABULOUS!! I LOVE Spock, old and young. It was SO much fun to hear young Bones say "Damnit, Jim!" The only thing I wasn't happy with was the young Uhura. She didn't make me think of the real Uhura at all....

Laepelba, I agree about the new Uhura. Would've been nice if the producers sought an African actress for the part instead of a girl who looks too Afro-American. In the end, I liked her better than the new Chekov. Walter Koenig never pronounced V's as W's in the original TV series, but he always did in the movies, and I hated it! He probably did it by accident and it stuck! Thank God the new Chekov has only a minor role in the movie.

I love JJ Abrams work :thumbsup: . I was not too sure about another Star Trek film at first but this looks pretty good.

@Jessica - I would say that you would really like it if you are familiar with the original Star Trek series and movies....

@AutumnBreeze - same thing ... if you enjoyed the Kirk-series and the movies, I believe that you'll find that this movie does great justice to the originals. They don't try to mimic ... they don't try to copy ... but the incorporate the things that we loved so much about the characters to begin with, but in a younger, "rough around the edges" kind of way (and told in 2009 special effects quality!). Really - you'll love it!!

Leí que algunos mira 'Fringe'. Mi novia mira lo, pero no me lo gusta. En el principio, me gustaba lo porque es parecido de 'The X-Files' (cuando 'The X-Files' estaba bueno.) Pero, ahora, no me gusta Fringe porque todos de los episodios son lo mismo.

No había miraba el nuevo 'Star Trek'. No estoy un fan de el serie, pero quiero mirar la película. No voy al cine; pero miraré cuando es en video.
