Almost the word Prensa on my country mean the reporters or also it's the news is used as the Prensa.

I don't know if this word (Press). It can be used in the same term.

The press is a machine for printing newspapers. = printing machine
According to the press, Michael Jackson has died = the newspaper companies

Yes the newspaper's machine could be other translation.:)
