Also the word burrs is a usages in Mexico to say burrs's eyes.
When you're get up of the bed in the mornings, your mother tells you. Please Jorge. you cleaning the eyes because you've alot burrs in the eyes.
Therefore, when you are getting up in the mornings, you don't forget washing you the face, because you get sit in the table.

Yes burr is a word in Spanish.
Really means rebaba de los ojos.
Anymore means here.
For instance.
You've children, there is very common when the children have got up of the bed in that moment between their eyes have some burrs, an you normally tell them, please you wash your eyes now.

In English, lagañas is sleep (in the corner of the eyes). Where I grew up, we called them sleepers.
Go wash the sleep from your eyes.

I've never heard that and would assume it's specific to British English.
