Hola, me llamo Laura. Soy aprender español para la diversión. I'm a beginner in learning this beautiful language so I came here in hopes of expanding my skills as I progress. I made some friends in El Salvador I would love to visit but I want to be able to speak their language. So tell me a bit about yourselves?

¡Bienvenida! :) I think I'm an intermediate in Spanish, but I'm so busy I don't have time to practice my Spanish :(...I'm learning Spanish in school.

"Soy aprender español" should be "Estoy aprendiendo español".
In way of an introduction, I have a BA degree in Spanish and have been speaking it for more than 10 years.
Como introducción, tengo una licenciatura en español y tengo más de 10 años hablándolo.

Thanks for the nice welcome everyone! I've been searching through the site and I'm finding the members to be very helpful. I just can't wait until I can write a whole post in spanish. I know, baby steps right?
I seem to be having a lot of problems using features of this site though. For example, I can't click on the "accents" drop down menu or any of the emoticons. It must be a setting on my computer?

Hmmm, Javascript is probably disabled or blocked in your web browser. What browser and version do you use?
