Yeah. Also a needle. A hypodermic needle.

in the bed?
Well, maybe on the bed.
When I was about 5 years old, my grandma who did all the darning on the bed left a needle on the bed. When I jumped onto the bed at bedtime, the needle became embedded in my knee. It had to be surgically removed.
I will always remember that......

¡Pobrecita!
Why is "on" the bed instead of "in"? I mean, uno está en la cama, dentro de la cama, tapado con las sábanas, colcha, etc. I thought it was "in" the bed". Wouldn't be "on" the bed for something that is over it (a cushion, for instance)

Cuando te vas a la cama a dormir.........you are in bed (no "the")
Las chinches.......are in the mattress
Tu ropa está sobre la cama ...... your clothes are on the bed
I guess a needle could be on or in depending on its location.
