¡Soy el primero!

A todas las nuevas personas aquí a Tomísimo!

¡Espero que os divirtáis durante vuestra estancia!

Aquí es mi favorita estancia,

A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky.

A "estancia" in the sense of "stanza" must obey to some specific rules. For any kind of stanza, it's better to say "estrofa".

@Bob: "Aquí está mi estrofa favorita" sounds better. :)

Would you use "estancia" when talking about a "stay of execution"? (Sorry - watched a "Criminal Minds" marathon yesterday ... one of the best episodes dealt with a prisoner on death row...)

That involves legal terms that change from country to country, Lou Ann, but I think this "stay" should be translated as "aplazamiento" or "suspensión" (de una sentencia).
