La gente puede debatir en eso todo el día:D, pero pienso que su destino es algo que se quiere ocurrir y es una buena cosa, mientras su "fate" puede ser malo, y yo diría decir que tiene una connotación mala a veces.

It´s my destiny to be a great man I just know it.:)
It´s my fate to always be poor because I have bad luck.:(

No sé si tiene sentido:)

Destiny seems to be more "elastic" when things of life could be right or wrong and vice versa. It's seems in continuous sequence and evolution. Un día moriremos:eek:

Fate, instead seems that things happens and ain't possibility be change. Es fatal como la muerte.

It's MHO:p

More data surely we can find them reading philosophical texts

If that ´s the case, it´s simple and intersting.

I also think that "destiny" is used in more of a personal way. "My destiny is...." or "His destiny is..."

Whereas, I think that "fate" is used more broadly. It can refer to a person: "Your fate is....", but I would say that when speaking of things and events, it would be more common to use the word "fate": "The fate of the wedding was tied up in the weather..."

The dictionary for both words, though, refers to an inevitable course of events.....
