If anyone could proofread this, that would be great! I'm sure I mixed up uses of the preterit/imperfect, and other stuff as well. The topic is "the most interesting vacation I had."

OH and I guess I should say that we just started learning subjunctive mode, so my level of Spanish is not very high. I'm only in my second semester~

Here's what I'm trying to say:

The most interesting vacation was when I went on a cruise to Mexico with my family last summer. It was my first time going to Mexico. First, we went to LA by plane. Then we boarded the cruise ship. We went to Cabo san Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. Cabo san Lucas was nice. We went to the shopping mall Puerto Paraiso. But Mazatlan wasn't interesting and did not have many excursions. And also, we didn't feel like going out because it was 38 degrees. In Puerto Vallarta, my sister and I swam with dolphins. We had a lot of fun in Mexico!


La vacación más interesante fue cuando yo hice un crucero a México con mi familia el verano pasado. Era la primera vez que fui a México. Primero fuimos a Los Ángeles en avión. Entonces nosotros abordamos al barco de crucero. Fuimos a Cabo san Lucas, a Mazatlán, y a Puerto Vallarta. Cabo san Lucas era agradable. Fuimos al centro comercial Puerto Paraíso. Pero Mazatlán no era interesante y no hay muchas excursiones. Y también, nosotros no tuvimos ganas de salir porque había treinta y ocho grados. En Puerto Vallarta, mi hermana y yo nadamos con delfines. ¡Nos divertíamos mucho en México!

Mis vacaciones (plural) más interesantes fueron un crucero que hicimos a México con mi familia el verano pasado. Era la primera vez que iba a México (mejor "que iba allí, así no repites tanto). Primero fuimos a Los Ángeles en avión. Después (mejor que entonces) embarcamos. Fuimos a Cabo San Lucas (etc.). Pero Mazatlán no era interesante ni había muchas excursiones. Tampoco teníamos ganas de salir (o "nos apetecía salir") porque la temperatura era de treinta y ocho grados. (...). ¡Nos divertimos mucho en México!

Also, if I wanted to change the second sentence -

Era la primera vez que iba allí.

- to "It was the most interesting because it was the first time I went there." Would it use the same verb? Like this:

Era más interesante porque era la primera vez que iba allí.

You can say that, but maybe the following would suit better:

Era muy interesante porque era la primera vez que iba.

Or better:

Era muy emocionante... (exciting)

Sorry for my late reply! Yes, that definitely makes it more interesting.. instead of using the same words over and over again. Emocionante is a good word =D

If you start with "usted", you must go on with the same form. :)

What is "escala"? Haha, because that was the word the came up when I googled for "scale." Hm.. is últimamente not the same as recientemente? Lately vs. recently? Actually the word I was looking for was 'lately', but I'm just wondering. And for gustaba, I thought that I should use the imperfect because it's like.. from a long time ago? She never liked ice cream in her whole life? I don't know, my verbs are all crazily jumbled up =P

Okay.. I have another scene in the skit, if you wouldn't mind looking over this too~ I am aware that most of it is extremely.. silly? And not at all what would happen in real life.. hahhaha, I don't even know if I can do the skit without laughing XD
