I have a couple of doubts about a sentence:

In this light, G.W.'s occupation as reporter in the local newspaper offers an example...

I can't find in my dictionary something similar to "in this light", I guess that means "de esta manera", but I'm not sure.

About "as reporter", I think there's lacking an "a" here, but maybe I'm wrong. I'd say: "as a reporter". Perhaps there is a typo in my book (or not...) :thinking:

Thanks :)

"in this light..." = considered "in the light" of certain information;
"thus illuminated".

"as a reporter" refers to his occupation; "as reporter" emphasizes his
position with the newspaper - both correct in this context.
