With languages, you do not use the article el or la. Often, you use these articles in Spanish when you don't in English, for example:
El vino es caro
Wine is expensive
There are general rules for genders of nouns, but you will just have to learn each word with its gender. :)

Estudio español (small letter). ;)
Estudio idiomas, matemáticas, informática, ciencias, etc. (without article).

When one says "estudio (un idioma)", the article is not necessary.
Estudio español.
Estudio portugués.
etc.
But the gender of the word is a masculin: "el español", "el portugués", "el francés", because it refers to "el idioma".

Creo que puede usar 'Aprender' también. Por ejemplo: "Aprendo español" o "I learn spanish" en ingles.

Right, Fazor: "estudiar", "aprender", "hablar", "enseñar", when followed by a language ("español", "inglés", "portugués", "alemán", "swahili", etc.) or as Irma said, a subject ("matemáticas", "geografía", "historia", "química", etc.).
