¿Hay un verbo específico en inglés que se use para "lavar la lechuga"? Lo ha preguntado una compañera de otro foro y me he quedado bastante sorprendida. ¿Alguien lava la lechuga con un verbo especial? :thinking: :D

I wash the lettuce to get the slugs off. Possibly there is confusion with the verb to toss. You toss the lettuce just before serving to mix up and lettuce and olive oil. I can't think of anything else you would do with lettuce apart from eat it. :rolleyes:

Yes, it could be toss!


I looked at this earlier & thought that maybe irmamar had been given a translation that sounded a bit rude:thinking:

All I could think of was rinse.

All I could think of was rinse.Good point. Rinse (:approx:enjuagar) means to wash in clean water, thus it is perhaps a more accurate word than wash.
