Although it is said that "no dudar" is used with indicative and "dudar" is used with subjunctive, that's not always so. I can't see nothing grammatically wrong in your sentences, but I can tell you that I would use subjunctive in most occasions (nunca dudé que fuera así, no dudo que sea así).

I can't see anything grammatically wrong with your sentences, but I can tell you that I would use the subjunctive in most occasions (nunca dudé que fuera así, no dudo que sea así).

The fist one is correct.
I never doubted that it was like that.
Nunca dude que eso era asi.

Now the doubt the I've is the translation of the phrase like that should be interpreted as ERA ASI.
