I'm looking at a passage of Scripture and the word used is 'cree'. Does that word or its root 'crear' mean only to create/make/cause to exist, or does it's meaning or use also include to 'believe'?

Might shed some light on your question.
Thing is, can you solve it?

You'll need to know how the verb is being used in order to get your answer, using the conjugation charts that chileno provided. If you can't figure it out, supply more context and we'll be able to answer your question.

The context is John 3:16, ....whosoever believeth may have everlasting life.... I don't see any definitions that come close to cree meaning 'believing'.

creer = to believe
cree (present indicative, 3rd person singular) = believes, believeth
crear = to create
crea (present indicative, 3rd person singular) = creates, createth

To confuse things, the present subjunctive of creer is the same as the present indicative of crear and vice versa.

Except in the first person singular. ;)
