A rusk is a rectangular, hard, dry biscuit or a twice-baked bread (zwieback). It is sometimes used as a baby weaning food. In the UK, the name also refers to a food additive.

I think they just call them galletas, and if hard, galletas para bebés. Not much help, I guess.

Well, at least is some direction. What do you think about "roscos"? (The other option I have, since the text talks about South Africa, is to leave "rusks" as is, in English, and put a parenthetical explanation as in "galletas/bizcochos sudafricanos"??) Thank you for your input, anyhow. :)

I've made a search in images of google and they look like "bizcochos" more than "galletas". I would use its original noun, "rusk" and I'd say that they are a kind of "bizcochos secos" (aquí "sequillos", pero creo que los sequillos es algo muy específico y muy diferente de los rusks). :)

Well, thank you very much to everybody!
All the images and tips are very helpful.
I think Poli gets the prize, though, as his link seems to be the more precise, in terms of finding the exact "item".
As far as the translation, I think I stick with leaving rusks, with a parenthetical note to go to amazon.com and buy some! ;)
