That is my first attempt at the translation of the term's definition, as a noun.

Any feedback on the translation will be appreciated, but my KEY question here is HOW DO YOU SAY PAN in Spanish, (both the noun and the verb forms.) ? recorrer con la cámara? panear? toma panorámica? :?:

Dunno, but I don't think the word is used in BrE where one still makes the effort to write the whole word panoramic.

Yes, Perikles, but I take the cameramen, and people in the TV, Cinematography, etc. and visual industry in general will use, "pan" when talking about their "camera moves plan" or something like that. :thinking: :?:

What does a British tourist say when he is going to use his camcorder to video something? (Or even talking at the movie theater... I like how the camera pans along/ pans in the face of the starlet...) Or a British film critic... dunno myself either, but I figure they may abbreviate... or do they actually say, "the camera moves horizontally from left to right embracing the whole panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains..." "or the panoramic view of the length of the Thames while the sun sets slowly at sundown..."? :hmm:

Ah, gracias Poli y Hermit. He visto "panoramizar" y "panear". El segundo creo que se usa en plan 'jerga' (slang), pero no sabía qué es lo más aceptado.

Tiendo a pensar que en el mundo ajetreado del trabajo de un cámara/camarógrafo, tenderá a economizar sílabas... de ahí que me incline por "panear" (verbo) y "paneo" (nombre), pero creo que vuestras opciones como "panorama" "panoramizar" paracen más adecuadas y formales, para un manual de filmación.

What does a British tourist say when he is going to use his camcorder to video something? Dunno, twice. But I suspect you are correct that there is a specialist shorthand vocabulary as there is in all hobbies and activities.
