I was under the impression until recently, that lapicero meant mechanical
pencil only and that bolígrafo meant pen. Many people, however, use lapicero to mean pen. I suppose this question is for Sosia. In Spain, is lapicero used for pen? According to RAE lapicero is pen in Honduras but I have heard others use it as well. Does anyone know if lapicero is used to mean pen in Mexico?

I just joined this forum. I accidentally came across this site, thought it was great! Just want to say Hi to everyone.

I use bolígrafo for the word pen. And I learned lapicero as something that holds pencils/pens. Not sure if this is a Puertorican usage or Latin American usage.

Ooops, creo que debo usar el español aqui....Lo siento. Soy un miembro nuevo..
