I have seen this translated as "mesa de masajes" ?
But that doesn't ring totally right to me... (maybe it's fine, but I have the idea that must be some kind of "table" where a doctor or a chiropractor may do some "torsions" of your body?)

Any clue on this will be greatly appreciated!

I might be totally off-track here, but a torsion table is a table which produces a flat and strong table top for a workroom or carpenter's bench. The name comes from the design of the support. Here (http://www.finewoodworking.com/PlansAndProjects/PlansAndProjectsArticle.aspx?id=28855) for example.

I've never heard it in connection with massage....

Thank you, Perikles.
I am watching/listening the video as I answer... You may be on track, not totally sure. (I believe in the context where I saw this, talking about medical doctors / therapy they were using the term in a similar way as an "operation table" or so... but it is possible that it was used as a humorous association?)

(I'll take another look tomorrow...) :)

I am not sure if a "torsion table" is the massage table or the woodworking workbench, most probably neither. In Scandinavia "torsion table" is a table with adjustable tabletop height - you press a button and it goes up or down according to your preference. It's a commonplace thing in the office.

If to extend "torsion" idea, it can be any table with adjustable "torsions" - be it a foldable table, a Scandinavian style office desk, or a workbench with adjustable parts in it, or a massage table with adjustable body supports, or a special table used in the gynaecology field.

Also, consider the analogy of a "torsion lamp" - it's another name for an adjustable lamp. So or me a "torsion table" is another name for an "adjustable table".

Hey, thank you, Darius, that makes sense. :)
