Hi
I'm reading some info about car gearboxes, and I have 1 question.
In spanish 5M is "5 marchas"
in german 5G is "5 Gänge"
in english 5F is ???????? 5 forward gear???

thanks in advance :DGood guess! I've had a quick check on the internet, and they talk of 5F = 5 forward gears. Technically, that is a 6-speed gear box if you include the reverse, so I guess they have an F to avoid ambiguity. :)

A common term in NAmE is "a 5-speed transmission".

No sé de la abreviatura en México, pero aquí se dice "5 velocidades", que corresponden a una caja de velocidades (gearbox) estándar.
Hay autos con transmisión automática y con transmisión estándar (o manual).
