I know people need to be more careful, responsible etc but no one has the right to tell a woman what to do with her body. If she wants an abortion, then let her have one. It's still her choice.

You need to get away from that mentality. I don't think anyone has the right to tell another person what to do with their body....get tatoos, piercings, etc. We're talking about killing another human being. You asked about abortion......not what a woman should do with her body.

When it comes to killing a human being that has no way of defending themselves then I think the whole community should do it for him/her.

It takes a whole community to raise a child.

if the woman was raped, and she wanted an abortion, would you support that?

I am still pro-choice. I still think it's the woman's choice 100% >_<

Why does she need to get away from that mentality? Abortion is a woman's body, and no, we aren't talking about killing another human being. Can this fetus carry out life processes? Can it do things on its own? No, it can't.

And I hate these arguments people keep bringing up. You just did it on the last page Elaina. For the 50th time, you can argue people until the death that abortion is the woman's fault, and hey, you may be right in some cases. She made a mistake. But is it really right to say "Hey screw you, you deserve to be forced to carry this unwanted baby that you probably don't want and probably aren't ready for."

It's better off the way it is now. A safe medical procedure. I personally think that abortions are awful, and after taking a lot of classes that go into it in detail, I find myself almost throwing up about it. But would you rather force a woman to have it, then abuse the baby, or have the baby grow up in a terrible household? Or would you rather her go into an alley and have some guy whack her with a bat, or better yet, jam a coat hanger in to yank it out? I know I don't. Statistically, since Roe V Wade, the amount of women who died from the procedure has seriously gone down. And that's because trained gynecologists are doing it. Not Joe Shmo in the alley behind the hardware store.

Oh, crotalito, a coat hanger is una percha. Cuando un aborto era prohibido, no habían medicos para hacer el aborto medicamente. Por eso, mujeres embarazadas iban a una persona, que utilizaba una percha para matar al feto. No voy a explicarlo más.

The only thing that I'm able to deduce from that kind of thorny questions is that people who is in favour don't force anybody to do anything, whereas people who is against want to force everybody not to do anything.

That is something to take into account. ;)

there are people against it because they say it's murder

there are people for it because it's supposed to be the woman's choice because it's her body

Most of the time the people who are in favor of it are opposed to capital punishment, and those against it favor the death penalty.

Yeah that's a really good point.

Wafflestomp....take it easy. It was only a debate. Some of us are against it and others aren't. That's the way a democracy is.

If the whole world was in agreement about something, it would be kind of boring and people's blood pressure wouldn't go up, etc. etc. etc.

I'm quite agree with you, everyone have a different point in this thread, only there're diversity to opinions and well just we can't opine in everything because that isn't our situation at this moment, already if you are diabetic I can opine in my own view point, but anyway I can understand your situation if I'm not crossing for the trouble too, there're I can agree with everyone say here in the post but that's only a point very different for everyone.

El subjeto es un papel de tornesol de la política americana. Hay algunos que tienen compasión para los no nacidos y falta de compasión para los nacidos y otros que faltan compasión para los no
nacidos y compasión para los humanos desarollados.
