Hello everyone!
Has anyone, here, heard of the word "oroficient"? The context is within a job description, "....oroficient computer user".
I have searched the web with little result; four web references found did not help me- but one of them was in Catalan (sp?) so I thought I'd ask all you brilliant lovers of words!
Thanks,
Jules

Hi Julie, do you have any more context for that word? Maybe a scan of the job description?

Are you sure it's not just a typo? ... proficient computer user?

I didn't find anything either...although i came upon a word "Zarpó" in an article and couldn't find any reference or definition for that word either. The article was from Univision.com...the sentence was like this:
El viaje inaugural de "The Scholar Ship", que zarpó en septiembre del Pireo (Grecia) y tras una corta escala pasó por Lisboa (Portugal), tocó puerto americano por primera vez el 2 de octubre pasado.
I assume the article was using it to mean that the ship "left" from greece in september...but just thought i would add that one in here too :D

zarpar means to set sail, weigh anchor etc, basically what you thought.

Hi everyone,
That's was my first thought when reading that, that it was a typo. But then I searched for web references and found those 4, all from different parts of the world...and still wasn't clear.
I'm going to consider it a typo unless I hear otherwise. I just didn't want to end up in a job interview and get thrown a word totally unfamiliar to me!
Thanks, all!

must be a typo. google gives only one option and it's clearly proficient like Tomisismo says.
